Mince pie gyozas

These gorgeous bites are made with Christmas mincemeat and ground almonds - lighter than a mince pie, so delicious and so much fun!

INGREDIENTS

  • Makes 5 (I did a mini batch but feel free to upscale the quantity)
  • 3 dessert spoons ground almonds
  • 2 dessert spoons sweet mincemeat
  • 5 gyoza wrappers
  • Oil to fry
  • Icing sugar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine the almonds and mincemeat
  2. Wet the rim of a gyoza wrapper
  3. Place a heaped teaspoon of the mixture in the centre the fold over the wrapper to make a half moon. Seal the edges.
  4. Place on a plate dusted with cornflour
  5. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a lidded frying pan over a medium heat for a couple of minutes or until the bottom is golden
  6. Add a splash of water to the pan (approx 50-75ml), place the lid on and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the water has absorbed and the gyoza is cooked
  7. Remove from the pan, dust with icing sugar and DEVOUR!
