Soy sauce drizzle & ice cream

I know this might sound a little strange, but if you are a fan of salty-sweet combos then you need to try this!

Soy and honey are combined to create a salty, umami-filed, slightly sweet drizzle that works really well over the cold, sweet ice-cream.

INGREDIENTS

  • 50ml light soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • Ice-cream to serve

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place the soy and honey in a small saucepan over a medium heat.
  2. Simmer until slightly reduced and slightly thickened.
  3. Pour over ice-cream (use sparingly as it is strong!)
  4. Any leftovers can be used in stir-fries in place of sweet soy.
